What the business needed
Petabyte Industrial Services Ltd installs, dismantles, reconfigures and relocates warehouse pallet racking across the UK and Ireland, on projects from fifty frames to over a thousand. The buyer is a facilities or warehouse manager building a shortlist, and what they check first is whether the crew is certified: CSCS, IPAF, RTITB and SEIRS.
What was built
Three pages: home, services and a project gallery. The certifications appear in the hero, in the copy and in the LocalBusiness structured data as things the business knows about, so they reach both the reader and the crawler. The contact form asks for name, phone, email and project details, protects itself with a honeypot rather than a captcha, and posts to Formspark.
Every icon on the site is an inline SVG drawn for it rather than pulled from a library, which keeps the shipped JavaScript small. The cookie banner slides up from the bottom on a phone and in from the corner on a desktop using the same class names with the axis redefined at the breakpoint.
Certifications where a crawler can read them
CSCS, IPAF, RTITB and SEIRS are in the LocalBusiness markup's knowsAbout list as well as in the hero.
Nothing tracked before consent
Google Analytics is not loaded until the visitor accepts, via a small event bus between the banner and the loader.
Static, national, cheap to run
No server, no database. A national contractor's site that costs almost nothing to keep online.
Under the hood
What the site runs on. The same approach is described on the service pages it came from.
