What the business needed

Tommy Pick runs a free gold and forex trading community funded by broker referral: a visitor opens an account with the partner broker under Tommy's code and gets access to the signals, the education and the in-person hubs around the UK and in Dubai. The site's only job is to move a visitor from curious to signed up with the code applied.

The build has been through one broker change already. Because the broker name, referral code, hub list, FAQs and stats all live in one constants file, the switch did not touch a single page layout.

What was built

A homepage whose sections are ordered as a sales path and labelled as such in the code, plus a sign-up guide, a switch guide for members moving from the previous broker, a bio page, legal pages and a risk disclosure. A scripted chatbot asks about experience and account status and routes the visitor to WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook or the relevant guide. A referral code widget copies the code to the clipboard in one tap.

An admin route behind a simple client-side gate gives the client a live Plausible Analytics dashboard without a separate login. It is a convenience gate rather than real authentication, and the code says so. Hand-built video players pause each other when one plays.

Chatbot as a qualifier

A finite-state script rather than a chat widget or an AI, with typing delays and a notification sound, routing each visitor before Tommy ever speaks to them.

One file for the business facts

Broker, code, hubs, stats and testimonials in one place. Adding a hub or changing broker is a data edit, which is exactly what happened.

Static, with live analytics for the client

The whole site exports to static files. The client's dashboard is an embedded live view, so no traffic figures are baked into the build.

Under the hood

What the site runs on. The same approach is described on the service pages it came from.

  • Next.js 16, static export
  • React 19 and TypeScript
  • Tailwind CSS v4
  • Scripted chatbot state machine
  • Web3Forms contact form
  • Clipboard referral widget
  • Consent-gated analytics
  • Plausible dashboard embed
